We are Demano group
Demano Group is a Norwegian industrial group headquartered in Kristiansand, on the south coast of Norway. We own and develop three established manufacturing companies with five production sites in Norway and Denmark. The oldest of them was founded in 1918.
Our companies machine, weld, surface-treat and assemble metal components, from large and complex precision parts in small series to small parts in high volumes. Their capabilities include multi-axis CNC machining, sheet metal work and welding, robot welding, electrolytic surface treatment, tool making and injection moulding, together with non-destructive testing, measurement, assembly and documentation. They serve customers in defence and civil preparedness, subsea and offshore, maritime, heavy vehicle and other industries. Several of them have supplied the same customers for decades, and a substantial share of what they make is exported.
We are an active and long-term owner. The companies keep their own names, their own management and their own customer relationships. What the group adds is ownership governance, capital for investment, and the scale that comes from working together on purchasing, capacity and capability.
Defence and civil preparedness
Mechanical production, assembly and delivery support for advanced defence systems: machined components, welded structures, sub-assemblies, quality control and documentation, primarily as a supplier to system integrators such as Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace. Civil preparedness belongs to the same market: the systems a society depends on to keep functioning in a crisis, such as backup power and water supply. Together, defence and civil preparedness is the area where the group is growing fastest, and where it is investing in capacity.
Subsea / offshore
Critical components for the systems and pipelines that carry oil and gas on the seabed, including connectors and couplings for subsea pipelines. These parts operate under extreme conditions, with high pressure and aggressive environments. The companies deliver machined parts and assemblies with high requirements for precision, certification and documentation, and their experience with standards and customer specifications in the energy sector makes them reliable suppliers in complex projects.
Maritime
Components and solutions for vessels, propulsion systems and maritime equipment. The companies possess in-depth knowledge of material selection and production methods adapted to demanding environments with corrosion, load and continuous operation.
This includes both individual components and series deliveries to equipment manufacturers and shipyards.
Industry / automoTIVE
Cost-effective series production of components in both metal and plastic. Combination of modern CNC machining, automation and, in some cases, injection moulding to deliver high quality in both small and large volumes.
Flexibility in production makes it possible to handle both prototypes and scalable production tailored to customer needs.
